We had a late lunch here on Sept 19 and wow fantastic experience. Our waitress was kind, happy and very welcoming. We ate a small lunch and had a beverage. The food was as expected wonderful. The chef cooks everything outside near the patio in an outdoor kitchen. The view sitting outside is terrific and the gardens well maintained. I would highly recommend a stop here.

We came back to the Confederation Lounge for the second time in two weeks. The service was friendly, attentive, and prompt. The food was sensational. The views from the patio show Edmonton’s river valley at its best.

I recently visited the Confederation Lounge & Patio at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald with my parents visiting Edmonton. We had a wonderful time together, enjoying both the beautiful atmosphere and the excellent service. We were warmly welcomed by Jackson, who made us feel special right from the start. He took the time to ask if we were celebrating any special occasion, which added a nice personal touch to our visit. Taylor's service throughout was attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. Overall, it was a memorable experience with family. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to relax in a charming setting with great service and a welcoming atmosphere.

We were staying in the hotel and had dinner here twice, as well as drinks one night. It's definitely a fabulous space as far as decor and atmosphere goes. Food was good, service was good. As I mentioned in my review of our hotel stay, it would seem that some of the servers at Fairmont are the only ones left that know how to give the old school luxury treatment. Thanks for that, it really makes the difference. Nothing else really to report or comment on. It's a soft 5-star with no obvious faults.

We had the most wonderful evening at the Confederation Lounge. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet warm, and the views over the river valley were stunning. Special thanks to Jackson and Tyler who personally ensured everything was flawless. Their attention to detail and gracious hospitality made our visit truly memorable. A must-visit for anyone staying at the Fairmont!

I came by to the Confederation Lounge to have a drink after walking around the riverside. While I didn't order any food during the stay I did have a few drinks and the place was during a slower portion of the day and I enjoyed my time there. I want to recognize Dave, who was very welcoming and explained the drink menu well, and came to check in several times. He offered an exceptional level of service. I will be looking forward to coming back when the patio is open and look to try the extended menu. I believe the price during Happy Hour was fair priced and for the type of establishment this location is, the cocktails were also fair valued.

If you enjoy outdoors with a nice view this is the place to go! The staff were attentive and our orders were beautifully presented but a little on the salty side but I realized I should have given them a heads up for that so not their fault. Four course meal was awesome but it just took a long time to serve our dessert but again it won’t stop us from going again! We love the place!

Best service you'll find in Edmonton!!! And, the atmosphere is exceptional!!! Aside from having the best patio with river views in the area, the staff and service is next level. Sadly they no longer have the crab cakes on the menu, the everything is amazing. And after hosting or attending more events than I'd like to admit... this place feels like home... mostly because of the incredible people. They true do care!
